Industry 4.0

Why is it so important for manufacturers to go digital?

Industry 4.0: what is it?

Industry 4.0 is a concept used to describe a new way of organizing production resources. It is the meeting point of the virtual world, digital design, management and real-world products and objects.

In Canada, 4 out of 5 SMEs are still outside the digital wagon. In the near future, these companies with little (or no) digital maturity will most likely become obsolete. Traditional sectors such as manufacturing and construction are experiencing the greatest digital divide. They lag far behind other sectors.

Companies with high digital maturity are more likely to have experienced higher sales growth over the past 3 years. There is a very close correlation between digital maturity, performance and profit !
