The association of leather with the Desrochers family is not new. Imagine Mr. Denis Desrochers, a shoe salesman traveling around the Quebec City region: a salesman, a real one! One fine day, a customer offered him a great deal on a surplus of leather. The entrepreneur at heart transformed the garage of his house into a small factory. He recruited his family members who together made promotional items: leather key rings. In 1981, Mr. Desrochers decided to sell only for his own business: he bought the factory at its current location and expanded his product line to include school bags and handbags… with fringes, please. The work days were long, the business took off and the warehouse continued to grow.
